As NASA's largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT System Administrator/System Analyst to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.The Senior IT System Administrator/System Analyst will:Analyze, design, and implement information systems that align with business needs.Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that systems function efficiently and effectively.Requisition Qualifications:Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies. Experience with SQL, databases, and ERP systems. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is an advantage. Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud operations. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work aptitude and interest in learning new technologies.Requisition Preferences:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications.System Analysis: Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.System Administration: Proven experience administering Windows 2019+/Linux systems in a complex environment.Solution Design: Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements.Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function as intended and meet quality standards.Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solutions.Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.Compliance and Security: Ensure systems adhere to compliance standards and security protocols. Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
