*Nursing Assistant Job Description*

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting with daily activities. This role is vital in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient facilities and emergency medicine environments.

*Duties*
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Monitor and record vital signs to ensure patient health is maintained.
* Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff.
* Engage with patients, offering emotional support and companionship, particularly in behavioral health settings.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
* Assist in the mobility of patients, including transferring them to different areas as needed.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to individual needs.
* Document patient interactions and care provided accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
* Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing specialized care and attention.

*Qualifications*
* Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Experience in outpatient care or emergency medicine is a plus.
* Familiarity with patient service protocols and best practices in healthcare settings.
* Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an advantage.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
