Summit Funding Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Financial Bancorp, located in Mason, OH, is looking for a full-time Vice President of Contract Processing - Accounting. The Vice President of Contracts Accounting will oversee the procedures, policies, and administrative responsibilities carried out by the Contract Processing, Cash Application, and Tax Departments to ensure the business requirements are fulfilled.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Accounting Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the contracts processing team, with involvement in the portfolio reporting and contract processing (booking, updates, termination, etc.).
  • Supervise and manage the cash application team whose functions oversee invoicing, cash application, and accounts payable for assets being financed.
  • Lead the preparation of management reports and other financial disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the team preparing and filing personal property and sales & use tax.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews.
  • Train and educate staff on new initiatives, law changes, and other pertinent legal, banking, and industry updates.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, help facilitate completion of audit requests and perform ad hoc duties that may be required related to other special projects as deemed necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite; experience with Lease Plus and Aspire, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in the equipment leasing and financing industry, with a deep understanding of lease accounting and related financial concepts is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
