Sales Representative

Lakelands Concrete Products, Inc. is proud to operate an NPCA Certified precast concrete production facility. With over 65 years of experience, we offer the specialized customer service, design support, product knowledge and quality assurance for successful projects throughout the Northeastern United States.
The Lakelands Sales Representative develops cost estimates for customer orders and the government bidding process. They will work with the customer from first call through project completion. This role establishes and nurtures customer relationships to capture additional future opportunities.
Essential functions

- Estimate material, labor and freight for construction projects identified opportunities.
- Work with the COO and Engineer regarding form and labor costs on special projects.
- Actively pursues bid projects with timely follow up and awareness of project status.
- Assists walk-in customers and inbound calls for project and product inquiries.
- For projects that have been awarded to Lakelands the following tasks are performed:
- Serves as the contact person between the customer, engineering, and operations.
- Ensures that delivery schedules, specifications, and expectations are met.
- Documents all phone and verbal communications related to projects.
- Maintains project files in an accessible and well-organized manner.
- Advises the COO on development of circumstances leading to potential change orders or added costs.

Required skills, education, and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and other documentation.
- Ability to perform calculations including basic math, percentages, area, circumference, periphery, and volume. Including basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to maintain records in a collaborative manner.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred education and experience
- A two- or four-year college degree in a construction or engineering related field.
- Experience with Titan or other ERP systems.
- Previous experience in sales, construction estimation, or a field sales role.
