Senior Director of E-Commerce Marketing


Reports to: Vice President of Marketing – OPUS


Job Overview:

This position is responsible for customer lifecycle marketing for OMNIA Partners new e-commerce platform, OPUS. The person in this role is responsible for driving growth and transaction volume within this revolutionary B2B procurement platform. Working with the rest of the OPUS marketing and product teams, the Director will be tasked with designing and building customer marketing and retention programs across all marketing channels that drive increased customer lifetime value.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct B2B or B2C e-commerce marketing, with proven expertise building customer marketing strategies and automated nurture campaigns.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with all relevant commercial teams (Marketing, Sales and Product) to design a strategic, integrated marketing approach to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Direct the buildout of the tech stack to support customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Lead the planning and execution of automated email nurture campaigns based on various trigger events to drive customer behavior; integrate other marketing channels and sales calls to automated campaigns where appropriate.
  • Provide direction and vision for customer and campaign data management.
  • Rigorously analyze campaign performance and customer value metrics to inform strategic changes to marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with other marketing teams to build creative campaign content that aligns with OPUS brand positioning.
  • Assist in analysis to continuously refine the customer journey and adjust marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Provide input for platform design and UI/UX to support increased transaction volume.


Training/Skills/Experience: (Minimum relevant work experience for successful job performance.)

  • 7+ years of total marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years of direct responsibility for e-commerce retention marketing functions.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth in key e-commerce marketing metrics (CLV, repeat purchase rate, customer retention, average transaction size).
  • Proven ability to build and manage campaigns inside a marketing automation platform such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.
  • Analytical and math-oriented marketer with ability to make decisions based on data and KPIs.
  • Proven management skills and the ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Superb time-management and project management skills. Ability to independently prioritize and meet deadlines.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field



This role will ideally be based at our Franklin, TN office. Remote candidates willing to travel to the Franklin, TN office monthly will be considered.
