The Senior Risk Management Professional identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk. The Senior Risk Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Risk Management Professional develops and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize risk of Medicaid operations within Humana's Payment Integrity Unit. Assesses and communicates contractual obligations regarding business risks with functions across the organization. Begins to influence department's strategy conducting contract and legal research while tracking project tasks, logs and risks. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. The Senior Risk Management Professional also is assigned various projects as needed by the Risk Management Lead. This role directly supports Medicaid in all states. The general responsibilities of this role include supporting process development for new Medicaid products ensuring operational risks are minimized or eliminated. Other responsibilities include tracking project initiatives, supporting Q&A and raid logs as well as communicating contractual requirements to business units. This role supports Humana's strategic initiative of increased Medicaid membership and is critical component in keeping us compliant with our Medicaid contractual obligations/metrics.
