Health Services Office Specialist - Bilingual RequiredThis position is open until filled. First review of applications will be on December 1, 2025. Remote work is not available.Job SummaryPerform administrative tasks that include recording, tracking, filing, copying, mailing and requesting documents from the public.Knowledgeable of rules and regulations around protected health information.Public contact duties that may include scheduling appointments, computer data entry and retrieval, and customer service.Able to use collaborative problem solving and communication skills in a team setting.Experience with Microsoft ApplicationsMust be able to be certified within three months to conduct criminal history checks and credentialing for community based providers.Provide clerical support in determining eligibility, licensing, and case management services.Navigate web based database programs and provide technical assistance to contract providers.Type forms, letters, minutes, departmental reports, statistical reports, and other correspondence from rough draft form. May also compose routine correspondence.Minimum QualificationsGraduation from high school or equivalent GED certificate. Two years of medical office experience preferred. Typing speed of 60 wpm, excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience working with an Electronic Health Records system preferred. Ability to maintain effective work habits, a calm demeanor in stressful situations, and regular and predictable work attendance. Bilingual required. Testing requirements must be met. Must be able to pass a criminal history check. Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets the County's requirements is required. This is a non-supervisory position. Lead work and coordination of work of others is not a typical function assigned to this position. Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel.Special RequirementsLinn County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Within three days of hire, applicants will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. If your employment authorization and documentation is contingent on sponsorship now or in the future, you will not meet Agency employment eligibility standards.
