Role Description

We are looking to fill two full-time Project Engineer positions, one in our our San Diego office, the other in our Anaheim, CA office location. The J&J Project Engineer is responsible to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in estimating, planning, implementing, job costing and coordinating projects. Specific technical responsibilities include conceptual estimates, quantity takeoffs, bidding plan control, bid coverage, review of submittals, and shop drawings, contract document distribution, project control logs, material procurement/tracking and expediting, updating schedules, assisting in preparation of monthly status reports and payment applications and coordination of all project closeout documents.


Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience and education.


Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience in project engineering and planning
  • Experience with plan reading and review, along with quantity takeoffs and bid preparation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of three years experience in the commercial construction industry (note: if candidate does not have a degree (equivalent construction experience is necessary).
  • Highly competent in the use of computers (Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Procore Training a plus.
