Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
Location: Raritan NJ
Work Mode: Onsite role
Rotational shift
Tues to Sat/ Sun to Thu
7AM to4PM/ 3PM to12 AM/ 10 PM to 7AM
Responsibilities
- Manage requestsincidents from Laboratory Scientists and assist with build and maintenance of their Lab IT Instrumentation
- Working in a life science laboratory environment including GxP environments
- Assist Instrument Vendors with PC installation and network connection to the Lab Network
- Maintain documentation of standalone scientific applications and configuration in run books
- Manage the Lab Systems Inventory and Application repository
- Deploy standardized PC hardware and deploy to laboratory environment
- Maintain Lab Systems in Active Directory Operational Units and GPO
- Maintain Operating System Patch levels using Push Management policy and tools
- Maintain and support Laboratory PC Backup Systems
- Assist with defined project deliverable manage lab system maintenance and provide oversight for the successful execution of services
- Work with Scientific Staff lab systems infrastructure and security aligning in the review and execution of support and maintenance work
- Provide work updates tracking monthly financial reports and monitoring work planning activities and contract spend
- Review and or update procedures for the ongoing maintenance of lab systems
Qualifications
- Possess a problem-solving mindset
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar field
- 7 years of experience in the following
- Information technology support role for laboratory computing operations
- Working in a life science laboratory environment including GxP environments
- PC hardware and troubleshooting connectivity to Enterprise Network Services
- Lab instrument connection configuration integration and maintenance support
- Support Microsoft Windows OS in Enterprise Active Directory Environment
- Managing OS Images and data backup systems
- Maintaining scientific instrumentation and software in a validated environment
- Experience with Waters Empower SDMS eLIMS or similar instrument systems
- History of successful independent and collaborative work in individual and team environments
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- GxP knowledge and understanding.
