Reporting directly to the Plant Manager of Generator Operations in Charlotte, NC, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.How You'll Make an ImpactLead a diverse team of Maintenance Technicians, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Supervisors, and Planning and Support staff.Manage a multi-million-dollar operating budget, encompassing wages, benefits, shop supplies, tooling, contractors, and services.Oversee capital projects from conceptualization through installation and startup, ensuring alignment with operational goals.Implement and manage complex maintenance processes for both new and existing plant assets across various designs and manufacturers.Foster a strong commitment to facility service across the Charlotte Manufacturing plant and multiple product lines, integrating maintenance engineering and project management into a cohesive team.Coordinate hiring, training, and performance management of the maintenance team, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.Cultivate relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating terms and monitoring service levels for optimal performance.Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, from operators to plant management, as well as with vendors and supplier representatives.Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, while collaborating with other department managers to support overall plant objectives.Utilize your knowledge of machine assets, facilities, and maintenance engineering principles, along with an understanding of production systems and continuous process improvement, to drive operational excellence.What You BringA bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Engineering is required.A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on machining, welding, and assembly. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a higher-level position.At least 2 years of direct management experience with non-exempt employees.Preferred experience in managing financial aspects of a product line and lean manufacturing practices.Exceptional organizational and project management skills.Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
