Job Summary

This is a hybrid role based out of the Denver, PA office.  Hybrid schedule is 3 days per week in office-Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Functional Analyst responsible for translating the Business requirements of the Functional Areas (e.g., Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Customer Service, Meter Operations, etc.) into print related functionality within the OpenText and SAP IS-U CR&B systems.  This includes involvement in all aspects of project work, on-going functional enhancements, troubleshooting, software patching and legal changes.  Collaborates on all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) with a focus on the analysis, design, and development of configuration-based solutions.  Must continuously maintain and develop the necessary skillsets, both technical and analytical to provide value-added business solutions and in keeping with the IT technical architecture roadmap.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support UGI’s Bill print and Correspondence processing and related system functionality, by building upon existing technical skills and experience with Open Text StreamServe product.  Broaden capability within the SAP CR&B and OpenText systems related to operational print activities, resolution of print issues, and integration with UGI’s print vendor.  Work with business unit analysts, EBT resources, and other IT technical resources, to develop new systems and enhance existing systems to meet changing business policy and legislative requirements.  Performs configuration to support defined business processes/functions including the timely testing and validation of software patches released by SAP and OpenText. 
  • Troubleshoot incidents reported against IT applications.  Assist in investigating issues to determine the root cause of problems.  Supports and monitors daily batch processing, responding to job failures in a timely manner.  Provide 24X7 primary and/or secondary support to core applications considered business critical. 
  • Supports the request and analysis phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by assisting with documentation and estimates.  Executes the design, development, testing and implementation phases of SDLC by producing functional specifications, test plans and effort estimates, under the guidance of more senior staff.
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure external interfaces and product support meet the needs of the Company with specific focus on the Bill and Correspondence Print related integrations.
  • Keep apprised of current trends in the business marketplace with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying key technologies.  Provides input and direction on business unit technology strategies. 
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possess analytical skills, which allows for the assessment of business processes and how they guide and shape application functionality.
  • Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology Architecture. 
  • Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of COBIT5 based IT Governance and Management framework or other structured industry standard methodologies.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience

Advisory level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent discipline is preferred.
  • Four (4) or more years of functional support experience.  Comprised of at least two (2) years supporting the OpenText StreamServe product and at least two (2) years of experience supporting applications, systems or business processes with analysis, design, and/or improvement related to invoice and correspondence printing.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience with SAP Utilities (IS-U / CR&B) configuration and integration with the OpenText StreamServe product.
  • ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position). 

Configurator II level:

  • Prior hands-on experience supporting business processes, applications or systems with analysis, configuration, testing and/or improvement associated with OpenText StreamServe product.
  • In lieu of experience in the components listed above, two (2)+ years of direct hands-on experience supporting business processes, applications or systems with analysis, testing and/or improvement focus is required.
