Grant ManagerThe primary function of the Grant Manager is to provide strategic guidance, under the leadership of the Chief Programs Officer, for all current and future program development, streamlining grants and proposal development processes, and serving as the main liaison between Unbound Now (HQ) and Unbound Now offices on all proposal and grant-related matters. The Grants Manager manages the complete life cycle of projects and grants within the assigned portfolio from proposal development to grant closeout, working closely with appropriate staff throughout Unbound Now's offices.Compensation: Annual salaryBenefits: Unbound Now offers a generous benefits package, including health insurance for employees and families with premiums covered by the employer; employer-paid life insurance for employees; and the option to participate in Unbound Now's retirement plan (with 3% salary match after 90 days with a 1-year vesting period). Work duties may, on rare occasions, be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, fumes, odors, and noiseJob ResponsibilitiesMaintains an active Christian witness and upholds the values of Unbound NowAttends devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteersMaintains a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general publicProvides technical guidance to Unbound Now program staff, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of programsOversees all grants within the Unbound Now portfolio, ensuring timely proposal submissions, reports, and amendmentsServes as the primary liaison with the Chief of Program Officer and Unbound Now offices on proposals, agreements, and the primary donor contact for grants management and reporting issuesWorks with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely donor reporting and budget complianceStandardizes proposal and reporting templates in line with donor and organizational guidelinesConducts office visits to assess operational challenges and provide donor compliance guidanceMonitors donor funding opportunities and proactively informs leadership of upcoming proposalsLeads the proposal development process, working closely with key personnel and the necessary partiesUnder the leadership of the Chief Programs Office, facilitates grant agreement negotiations, compliance reviews, and project kick-off meetingsFosters collaboration between programmatic, finance, logistics, and operational teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness in program implementationDesired OutcomesIdentify and research new grant opportunities monthlyPrepare and submit high-quality grant/foundation proposalsMaintain accurate grant records to support quality reporting and future opportunitiesCollaborate with program staff to align funding with organizational goals and objectivesTrain program staff on best practices in grant writing and the processMonitor and ensure adherence to grant complianceWorking RelationshipsReports to: Chief Program OfficerWorks with: Grant Accountant, Grant Writers regarding budgets and financial information for applications and financial reports; Development Team on restricted gifts and giving opportunitiesEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be consideredMinimum of three years of experience managing financial aspects of government and foundation grants and contracts for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources and grant revenue of at least $6 million, including grant budget development, fund and grant accounting, compliance, and detailed financial reportingFamiliarity with the Uniform Guidance regulations and other policy requirements applicable to federal government grant awardsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong writing and editing skillsJob RequirementsMature Christian faith as evidenced by participation in a local Christian churchThorough commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Unbound NowAgree to take and pass all required background checksProvide three references (supervisor, professional, personal)Detail-orientedHighly responsibleOutstanding collaborator with others, internally and externallyAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in response to dynamic contextsResponsive, solutions-focused, and service-orientedAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyCommitment to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive informationMust develop an in-depth understanding of all Unbound Now programs and services and accurately and professionally represent them to donors and prospectsAbide by Unbound Now policies at all times, including Unbound Now's Gift Acceptance PolicySubmit expense documentation properly and within required time frames per the company expense policy, and follow all Ramp Monthly Closeout Instructions and ProcessSubmit travel reimbursements daily, adhering to all travel guidelinesSubmit time-sheet hours/grant allocations daily, adhering to grant guidelines (if applicable)Complete all Unbound Now required training on timePhysical and Driving RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a personal or company vehicle as needed for work-related travelDemands include sitting for long periods at a computer, repetitive hand motions from frequent keyboardingDemands frequently require close visual attentionDemands frequently require prolonged mental concentrationDemands frequent remote video calls
