Job Title: Grant Manager
Job Status: Full-time, exempt
Job Location: Remote
Job Summary: The primary function of the Grant Manager is to provide strategic guidance, under the leadership of the Chief Programs Officer, for all current and future program development, streamlining grants and proposal development processes, and serving as the main liaison between Unbound Now (HQ) and Unbound Now offices on all proposal and grant-related matters. The Grants Manager manages the complete life cycle of projects and grants within the assigned portfolio from proposal development to grant closeout, working closely with appropriate staff throughout Unbound Now's offices.
Compensation: Annual salary
Benefits: Unbound Now offers a generous benefits package, including health insurance for employees and families with premiums covered by the employer; employer-paid life insurance for employees; and the option to participate in Unbound Now's retirement plan (with 3% salary match after 90 days with a 1-year vesting period). Dental and Vision are available at employee expense
Availability: Anticipated 40-45-hour work week, generally 8:30-5:30 CST Monday-Friday with a one-hour lunch break

Work is performed in a normal office environment or other professional environment. Work duties may, on rare occasions, be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, fumes, odors, and noise
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains an active Christian witness and upholds the values of Unbound Now
- Attends devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers
- Maintains a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
- Provides technical guidance to Unbound Now program staff, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of programs
- Oversees all grants within the Unbound Now portfolio, ensuring timely proposal submissions, reports, and amendments
- Serves as the primary liaison with the Chief of Program Officer and Unbound Now offices on proposals, agreements, and the primary donor contact for grants management and reporting issues
- Works with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely donor reporting and budget compliance
- Standardizes proposal and reporting templates in line with donor and organizational guidelines
- Conducts office visits to assess operational challenges and provide donor compliance guidance
- Monitors donor funding opportunities and proactively informs leadership of upcoming proposals
- Leads the proposal development process, working closely with key personnel and the necessary parties
- Under the leadership of the Chief Programs Office, facilitates grant agreement negotiations, compliance reviews, and project kick-off meetings
- Fosters collaboration between programmatic, finance, logistics, and operational teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness in program implementation

- Identify and research new grant opportunities monthly
- Prepare and submit high-quality grant/foundation proposals
- Maintain accurate grant records to support quality reporting and future opportunities
- Collaborate with program staff to align funding with organizational goals and objectives
- Train program staff on best practices in grant writing and the process
- Monitor and ensure adherence to grant compliance
Reports to: Chief Program Officer
Works with: Grant Accountant, Grant Writers regarding budgets and financial information for applications and financial reports; Development Team on restricted gifts and giving opportunities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum of three years of experience managing financial aspects of government and foundation grants and contracts for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources and grant revenue of at least $6 million, including grant budget development, fund and grant accounting, compliance, and detailed financial reporting
- Familiarity with the Uniform Guidance regulations and other policy requirements applicable to federal government grant awards
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Mature Christian faith as evidenced by participation in a local Christian church
- Thorough commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Unbound Now
- Agree to take and pass all required background checks

- Submit expense documentation properly and within required time frames per the company expense policy, and follow all Ramp Monthly Closeout Instructions and Process
- Submit travel reimbursements daily, adhering to all travel guidelines
- Submit time-sheet hours/grant allocations daily, adhering to grant guidelines (if applicable)
- Complete all Unbound Now required training on time
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a personal or company vehicle as needed for work-related travel
