Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective safety program that includes employee engagement as well as positive reinforcement
  • Develop and implement an effective safety committee to establish safety policies and best practices throughout the facility

  • Ensure the safety of all associates by proactively identifying safety concerns and taking relevant actions to address those concerns

  • Develop and implement an effective environmental program that minimizes the impact on the environment while also considering the costs for the company
  • Maintenance Supervision
  • Leads and develops a team of maintenance technicians on the routine procedures necessary to keep the equipment operating effectively
  • Utilize PM systems to reduce equipment downtime
  • Crosstrain technicians to ensure communication between maintenance shifts and production departments is clear and effective
  • Develop and implement effective troubleshooting methods to ensure equipment uptime, production volume and overall product quality goals are met
  • Implement and utilize an effective maintenance management system to effectively prioritize and manage maintenance requests and maintenance inventory
  • Facilities
  • Maintain and oversee all company assets, including the real estate, machinery and equipment
  • Establish an effective process for adding or removing company assets from use (requisitions, orders, depreciation, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain a database of outside vendors to provide various facilities services (installations, cleaning, security, etc.)
  • Serve as a liaison to outside vendors to represent the company for external services


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent combination of college-level education and experience.
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office tools Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • At least five years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering or maintenance leadership role in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Documented training in managing a safety and environmental program preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to work in an office setting; to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Physical ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
  • Physical ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.


Working Environment:

This position is located in a normal office setting with appropriate lighting for most of the day but will require to work partially in the shop floor where noise may be meddling at times. The shop floor is equipped with large and noisy machines. The lighting is adequate in the plant. Individuals are required to wear safety glasses and closed toe shoes and other protective personal equipment (PPE) as required.

Occasional travel for 1–2-week periods internationally may be required. Less than 10% of the total working time.
