Job Summary
Receives, schedules, coordinates and dispatches request for services and performs patient registration functions. May control distribution of ambulance equipment and medications at shift change.Essential Functions

Verifies operational readiness of crews
Accepts calls requesting medical transportation services.
Dispatches calls and tracks unit movements.
Coordinates the delivery of service in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
Obtains and documents patient information necessary for appropriate utilization ofresourcesand reimbursement.
Prepares written documentation
Attends staff meetings
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
Experience - No experience required. One (1) yearexperience in a healthcare setting and/or emergency services dispatch preferred
