Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have 5+years of level of real-world Akamai configuration experience managing various Akamai features across multiple domains. Experience with large Akamai security feature implementations.
  • 5+years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, site reliability, devops system infrastructure or a related technical role.
  • 5+years of exp. building and supporting web applications.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK stack, ability to understand metrics and impact to system performance.
  • Strong scripting and coding ability across multiple languages and technologies.
  • Proven experience optimization reliability and performance for large scale web hosting environment.
  • Willing to work work flexible hours on call as needed.
  • Strong analytics skills and ability to provide data driven recommendation for critical decision making mainly around edge configuration skills and improvement.
  • Excellent writte and verbal communication skills with demonstration ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers and leadership.


Optional Qualifications:

  • Experience with other CDNs, Ex Fastly, Cloudflare, Imperva, CloudFront, etc.
  • Web based architecture design and development experience.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript frameworks and CSS3
  • Linux Operating System experience.
  • Experience in a technical leadership capacity - team lead managers, etc.
