System Architect - 9 Month Initial Contract
Duration - Initial 9 Month contract (potential for extension)
Location - Remote (MUST be residing in Colorado)
Pay Rate - $80 - $90/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, enterprise/platform architects, tech leads, developers, scrum masters, and product/program/project managers to ensure all stakeholders receive the guidance and feedback needed to deliver a high-quality product.
- Conduct system discovery assessments and gap analyses, covering areas such as technology versions, integration patterns, web applications, end-to-end data and process flows, security and compliance, reliability, and operations and maintenance.
- Provide leadership and expertise in designing and implementing solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy and technical roadmap.
- Oversee architectural changes to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices.
- Lead feasibility studies and decision-making processes to refine architecture models, patterns, reference architectures, and guidelines, contributing to the development of consistent and standardized solutions.
- Develop technical roadmaps, advocate for DevSecOps practices, address technical debt, define true defects, and guide technical direction and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Over 8 years of experience leading software development teams across multiple platforms with expertise in agile process, financial, resource, and demand management, and 5+ years managing large, complex projects with multiple dependencies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with legacy systems (mainframes), cloud technology, and leading distributed teams, with strong attention to detail and strategic goal alignment.
- In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD), and broad experience in IT/software technology trends, including cloud-based development, web services, middleware, and security.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with experience in software (.NET/Java), Microsoft Power Platform, and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
- Proficient in multiple programming languages including .NET Core, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, with expertise in API development, relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL), and security/infrastructure architecture.
