Accounting ManagerOur client in the Lower Fairfield County area has an opening for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will oversee general ledger activities, reconcile accounts, and manage fixed asset accounting, along with contributing to audits and regulatory filings. This is a consulting to potential full-time opportunity with a great organization.Responsibilities:Post entries to the corporate general ledger system and oversee the integration of data from subsidiary applications.Reconcile general ledger accounts with subsidiary ledgers and primary bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies.Monitor and report significant transactions and account issues to management.Manage the fixed asset and prepaid systems, including determining asset useful lives and maintaining records.Compile and prepare financial data for audits and regulatory filings.Reconcile daily transactions for primary bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Collaborate with the controller to ensure monthly financial transactions are accurately processed.Train team members on essential system applications and standard department procedures.Coordinate the reconciliation of personal property taxes for multiple branch locations.Handle billing and cash receipts for rental properties, maintaining accurate records and posting transactions.Requirements:Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management.Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements for audits.Strong ability to reconcile accounts and manage journal entries.In-depth knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation.Familiarity with handling personal property taxes and regulatory filings.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to train staff and improve departmental processes effectively.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
