Strategic Account Manager

Scope Of ResponsibilityThis role is responsible for cross-selling and business development for Applied Automation into a defined set of Applied Automation strategic accounts by primarily delivering solutions focused products of robotics, vision, and motion control and support of IIoT adoption. Focusing on core partners that are shared nationally among the Applied Automation companies.Job DutiesAssist in researching, evaluating, generating and establishing contacts with the engineering and project resources in existing strategic accounts as well as leads outside current customers. Collect data from the current locations to analyze potential, work with customer regarding feasibility, and understand opportunities and benefits.Lead presentations to potential national accounts on Applied Automation capabilities.Act as the liaison between AIT service centers, Applied Automation companies, and customers.Assist automation companies and communicate with service center regional and area management teams.Coordinate Sales Engineers in selling to local customer facilities; keep corporate customer advised of developments; handle complaints, work service center, subsidiary, and customer personnel to correct problems and meet the needs of customer.Coordinate automation projects, cost estimations, and proposals while communicating successes to the customers corporate team and the entire AIT organization.Create and maintain national accounts list and goals for each company.On-site and in-office customer application consulting driving all life-cycle stages from concept to consultation to securing the order through the location subsidiary and service center teams.Refine solutions offerings and coordinate integrator partners as needed to serve customer interests.Assist in other operational issues as assigned or directed by supervisor, as necessary.Responsible for maintaining accurate, complete and timely records of business transactions, budget and financial oversight and safeguarding of assets for area of responsibility.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred5 or more years' experience in a relevant position and industryFounded in 1923, Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE: AIT) is a leading value-added distributor and technical solutions provider of industrial motion, fluid power, flow control, automation technologies, and related maintenance supplies.
