We are working with our client Cascon in seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of its engineered pump products manufactured for companies around the world.



Cascon is a niche pump technology and manufacturing company providing life-cycle pump solutions tailored and engineered to each OEM customer’s specific needs. Our pumps are in service high above the earth on the International Space Station providing life support and miles under the earth’s crust supporting energy exploration, and everywhere in between. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic, yet supportive environment creating product designs that will remain impactful for decades to come. This is a unique opportunity to develop and showcase your engineering and design talent.




Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • A 4-year engineering degree and 5 more years of design experience
  • Knowledge and experience with CAD design.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principles
  • Experience working with, and designing for, manufacturing
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to commute to Yarmouth Maine on Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to periodically visit the manufacturing facility in Walpole, NH and customer sites as required.

Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Lead the design, development, and introduction of engineered pump solutions using Cascon CAD, FEA and other engineering design tools
  • Participate in customer meetings to understand product requirements and to offer design options
  • Manage customer design requirements throughout the product life cycle within Cascon’s project tools and gated design stages
  • Present designs to internal stakeholders and customers in written report and PowerPoint format.
  • Create drawings and other documentation necessary for the reliable manufacture of new pump products
  • Support manufacture, assembly and test of prototypes as needed
