Accounting ManagerThe Accounting Manager for Simmonds Precision Products, Inc. is responsible for government accounting and the day to day activities associated with general accounting.At Simmonds Precision, we are a results-driven aerospace manufacturer committed to precision, performance, and progress. If you thrive in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment where innovation meets execution, there's a place for you on our team.What You Will Do:Forward Pricing Rate Proposals/Billing Rates and Incurred Cost Claims, Direct Labor Rate and Headcount reportingDisclosure Statements and Accounting Changes, ensuring the government rates and cost collection are in line with the said disclosures and company practices.Yearend rate reserve analysis, anticipated over/under to provisional USG billing rates.Lead Accounting team responsible for month end, account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other duties as directed.Support VP of Finance in ad hoc projects.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and minimum of 10+ years applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree with 7+ years of applicable work experienceAccounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations and practical experience in the application of accounting concepts, including revenue recognition, leasing, goodwill, intangible assets, internal use software, and business combinationsStrong quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting issues to both Finance and Non-Finance personnelAbility to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlinesProactive, detail oriented, and able to work independentlyBroad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teamsWorking knowledge of SAP ledgers and related business processesExperience working in the aerospace and defense industryFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)What We Offer:Some of our competitive benefits package includes:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceThree weeks of vacation for newly hired employeesGenerous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching fundsTuition reimbursementLife insurance and disability coverageOvia Health, fertility, and family planningEmployee Assistance PlanIncentives for a Healthy YouAutism BenefitDoctor on DemandAdoption AssistanceSecond Opinion programAnd moreJoin Our Mission at Simmonds PrecisionAt Simmonds Precision, we are a results-driven aerospace manufacturer committed to precision, performance, and progress.
