Job Brief

The Buyer/Planner manages purchase orders and modifications based on internal clients’ needs and procurement policies. This role ensures appropriate inventory levels at designated warehouses to support operations, including engineering, maintenance, and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process requisitions for completeness and compliance.
  • Handle Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and negotiate terms with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders and revisions.
  • Monitor supply chain risks and resolve supplier issues.
  • Determine inventory levels and meet with suppliers to develop forecasts.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High ethical standards and accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
