Role Description


This is a full time role for a Public Relations Specialist at Liquified Agency.


As Liquified’s Public Relations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting communications initiatives on behalf of the agency, as well as our various client accounts. This role will report to the Director of Marketing.


The ideal candidate is a creative, quick-thinking individual, who can independently solve challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll quickly build relationships through collaboration with cross functional teams, as well as with external media partners. The role is based out of our downtown Sarasota, Florida office.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support PR launches, assist in determining media strategy, coordinate agency support, and collaborate with other agency departments, clients, and external vendors/media contacts
  • Support strategy behind the development of key PR narratives and assets, including blog posts, bylines, announcements, among other items.
  • Identify integrated PR strategies and opportunities to include print, digital, podcasts, and broadcast, along with thought leadership and speaking opportunities.
  • Identify earned media opportunities in support of thought leadership initiatives for the agency and our clients, including awards, speaking engagements, interview opportunities, etc.
  • Support various foundational team duties, such as compiling reports for clients, monitoring press alias, and more
  • Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit various content types, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, press one-pagers, etc.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, pitch stories, and coordinate press releases and media responses.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communication channels for clients and our agency.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute communication campaigns that align with business goals.
  • Research background information in support of PR campaigns


Qualifications


  • 2-3 years of PR experience (In-house and/or agency experience)
  • Must have the ability to work independently, identifying opportunities that can be turned into actionable items
  • Demonstrated writing skills with the ability to turn complex ideas into compelling stories
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to think strategically, creatively solve problems, and manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated history of using data and insights to power thought leadership and media conversations
  • Familiarity with media monitoring software and/or PRM
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
