Responsibilities :

  • Typically manages a single department and/or shift.
  • Manage the ongoing ISO compliant and cost-effective manufacture of specific products or sub-products.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices/policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management.
  • Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other divisions or customers and the company.
  • Assists the Test Engineering Manager to coordinate the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and staffing.


Requirements :

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 -5 years of experience.
  • In-depth product manufacturing comprehension including rationales.
  • Solid working knowledge of regulations (ISO, OSHA, employee relations, etc.).
  • Advanced working knowledge of manufacturing systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing costs and influences.
  • Manages through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
  • Typically manages 2 or more direct reports.
  • Has experience with HIGH product THROUGPUT environment.
  • Experience in Semiconductor or Circuit board manufacturing a plus.
