The Department of Health is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Accountant 4, for the new and innovative Rural Health Transformation Program.In this pivotal role, you will:Provide high-level, specialized accounting, financial management, and fund accounting services in support of the Rural Health Transformation FundOversee and certify financial transactions related to revenues and expendituresOversee federal accounting, recording, and reporting functions, including the submission of federally mandated reportsEnsure compliance with state and federal accounting and reporting requirementsProvide complex financial analysis, fund accounting, compliance, and internal control for a significant federal grant programEnsure the integrity of financial reporting.Work closely with project coordinators, the Administrative Operations Manager, and federal partners to administer program funds and adjust budgets as program needs evolve.This is a rewarding opportunity to drive meaningful impact across Alaska's health continuums, supporting families and communities statewide.Mission and values/culture:At the Department of Health, our mission is to protect and improve the health of all Alaskans.
