Job Summary

Creative Coordinator will play a pivotal role at the intersection of creative and business development at COL Media. This role involves collaborating with various teams to conceptualize, develop, and produce projects that align with COL Media’s creative vision and business goals. The Creative Coordinator role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, keeping relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth for the company. This position will require strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a keen understanding of the entertainment industry and the trends shaping it.


Based in Pasadena (on-site)


Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in the entertainment industry (including but not limited to film & tv, web novel, audiobooks), particularly in the realm of emerging trends and technologies (AI).
  • Work with internal development team to develop projects in our slate.
  • Provide articulate and persuasive creative notes on story materials, both verbally and in writing.
  • Contribute to creative meetings involving executives and key creative leadership teams.
  • Spearhead research initiatives, integrate ongoing research into story development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with studios, publishers, international sales agencies, transmedia production companies and distributors, writers, producers, agents, managers and other key players in the entertainment industry.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Parent Company, Business Development, Legal, Marketing, PR, etc.) to operate and deliver against goals.
  • Participate in creative meetings involving executives and key creative leadership teams.
  • Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the creative executive or other senior management members. These tasks will vary according to the evolving needs of the company and the entertainment industry at large.


Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of professional experience in the entertainment industry, preferrable at agency, management company, production company.
  • Knowledge of entertainment contract negotiation.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid/remote environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects.
  • Proven track record in business development within the entertainment sector, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Provides administrative support to senior executive.
  • Chinese and English bilingual is a must.
  • Familiarity with the emerging trends and technologies, especially AI, is a plus.
