This position reports to the Vice President of Finance.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Strong business partnership with the management team and other functional staff to identify operational and financial issues and implement corrective action plans, as appropriate.
  • Assist sales team in developing proposals for new products
  • Coordinate with sales and customer financial services on DSO and late paying customers
  • Assist senior management in developing growth strategy for the businesses
  • Provide guidance to management on overall financial policies and regulations
  • Responsible for the compilation of information used in the review of actual financial results versus forecasted results on a monthly basis:
  • Creation of meaningful financial models that facilitate timely review and analysis of actual results vs. forecasted results
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation material to senior management highlighting the business performance versus forecast and versus prior actual periods including working capital analysis as a percent of sales trend, DSO, DOS and DPO
  • Assist in the business monthly / quarterly closing review process
  • Responsible for the overall coordination of the monthly financial forecast cycle, including:
  • Preparation and administration of forecasting timeline
  • Working with each department that contributes to the monthly forecast to ensure validation/confirmation of inputs and adherence to timeline
  • Creation / maintenance of meaningful financial models that summarize forecasted financial and working capital metric results compared with prior forecasts, prior actual periods and plan
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of LGUS Corporate FP&A reporting requirements within Hyperion:
  • Preparation and administration of work process timeline to ensure timely completion and submission of reporting requirements on a month-end and quarter-end basis
  • Creation / maintenance of models required to complete reporting requirements
  • Compilation of quarter variance reports, income statement variance reports, working capital, productivity, capital expenditure, headcount reporting requirements
  • Assist with monthly MBR, management meeting and weekly management review presentation materials
  • Responsible for the overall coordination of annual planning cycle, including:
  • Preparation and administration of planning cycle timeline; and ensuring compliance by management teams
  • Coordination in development / maintenance of budgeting environments used for plan consolidation and analysis
  • Coordination with LGUS Corporate FP&A to ensure submission deadlines are met timely and accurately
  • Development / maintenance of multiple financial models analyzing plan submissions in terms of financial trends
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed presentations to senior management
  • Support departments with forecasting / planning
  • Ad Hoc reporting to assist in the evaluation of emerging financial and operational performance trends, including Product Line, Customer, Variable and Operating Profit Margin, and Fixed Cost analysis. Also responsible for the development / maintenance of financial models analyzing organic growth.
  • Actively support and participate in system implementation and integration across the business. Provide analytics to the various departments and operations to bring awareness of the impact to the overall financial performance and metrics.
  • Position will have a team of financial analysts and will be responsible for the development and growth of each team member.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 8+ years Finance experience is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Hyperion and JD Edwards preferred
  • Travel as necessary (up to 10%)
