About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support our attorneys by handling a variety of legal and administrative tasks related to real estate transactions, compliance, and litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of legal processes, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.


Key Responsibilities

Legal Research and Documentation:

  • Conduct legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including contracts, lease agreements, deeds, and other real estate-related documents.

Transaction Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of real estate transactions, including closings.
  • Review and organize due diligence materials and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Litigation Support:

  • Assist attorneys with case management, including document collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and regulatory agencies, and maintain case files and records.

Compliance:

  • Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable real estate laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Communicate with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on legal matters.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with all parties involved.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage and maintain legal databases, files, and records.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with attorneys and other team members to support the legal needs of the company.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and workflows.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on real estate law.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, legal terminology, and legal documentation.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a start-up or fast-growing company.
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
