What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare petitions/applications for various immigrant visas (PERM, I-140, CP, AOS, Naturalization, etc.) and non-immigrant visas (H-1B, L, E-1/2, TN, O-1, J)
  • Process I-485 applications, employment authorization documents, travel documents, replacement I-94 and I-90 forms
  • Handle status changes and extensions, including B2, and process fiancé/fiancée petitions
  • Submit and file I-751 (Removal of Conditions)
  • Prepare responses to requests for evidence
  • Create and maintain reports as needed
  • Schedule visa appointment interviews with USCIS and U.S. consulates/embassies
  • Liaise with government agencies (DOL, USCIS, NVC) to troubleshoot issues as needed


What You Need as a Business Immigration Paralegal or Specialist

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience considered)
  • Certified Paralegal status is a plus
  • 3-5 years of International Immigration experience within a law firm, with a strong grasp of complex immigration issues
  • Experience in preparing both immigrant and non-immigrant visas
