Traveling SuperintendentMy client specializes in the development of Multifamily, garden style apartments in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. This tight-knit organization is family-owned and growing rapidly, with a full project pipeline of $30M properties over the next year. They are looking for a Traveling Superintendent to join their team and help grow not only their business, but their construction family. The client has big plans for their employees and is instrumental in their training and development. They offer a strong work/life balance and have an open door policy within their firm. APPLY NOW AND YOUR RESUME WILL BE REVIEWED WITHIN 24 HOURSJob DescriptionThe Traveling Superintendent will:Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are metTravel throughout the countryReview blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bidsLead team with construction project planning and developing site logisticsMonitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and safety guidelines are metUtilize good time management to ensure timely completion of projectsKeep daily and weekly work logsCoordinate and supervise all construction activitiesWork directly with investors at times and maintain a professional and client facing attitudeEnsure proper signage is posted on the construction job site, and safety requirements are metReview bids for work, as well as supervising the inspection of workSchedule inspections as needed along the jobs siteMaintain as strong a relationship as possible with local municipalities for potential future businessMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Traveling Superintendent:5-7 years of experience, must be a lead SuperintendentProven ability to deliver commercial construction projects on time and on budgetMust be able to work in a multiple-project environmentAbility to read and understand plansDesire to travel throughout the country for projectsTechnical understanding of residential construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practicesCapable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projectsWork with subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, city inspectors, organize and direct activities concerned with their construction projectsEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures, performance, and quality standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specificationsMonitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budgetInvestigate potentially serious situations, anticipate project delays, monitor job site safety, and implement corrective measuresWhat's on OfferWhat's on Offer for the Traveling SuperintendentCompetitive Base Salary2 weeks PTO401K with company matchHealth, Vision, Dental coverage10-20% Discretionary BonusPer diem package around $2,500Contact: Kelsey RyanQuote job ref: JN-112025-6891460
