JOB OVERVIEW


The Associate Advisor role is an integral part of our team serving as the initial connection between our clients and the entire team at Financial Foundations. This great communicator, influencer and enthusiastic person will need a strong drive for learning and will support the vision, positive culture and team spirit across our firm and clients. This foundational position is a professional track geared toward the successful completion of a CFP® professional program and exam*.


Our Associate Advisors are focused 100% on serving and managing our clients collaboratively and exceptionally. They are responsible for working directly with our Advisors to serve our Tier 1 and 2 clients.


They will support client meetings and aid in the navigation of clients through the entire financial planning experience and decision-making process. This includes preparing and eventually discussing their holistic financial plan, including planning strategies that are appropriate for client situations. They will aid in the coordination of the planning process with the client/client advisor(s) and oversight of all front and back-office personnel involved in the planning process.

Core Engagement Requirements:


Client and Advisory Engagement

• Focused support and second chair duties in client meetings with an eventual ability to add value to the conversation while gathering data and action items for follow-up.

• Coordinates with Senior and Lead Advisors in the development and preparation of clients’ financial plans, developing recommendations and solutions in the best interest of the client and ensuring those plans are executed.

• Communicating with clients by understanding the needs, objectives, goals, concerns and translating these into an actionable and disciplined plan.

• Coordinating with client’s other advisors (attorney, CPA, etc.) and other external sources to carry out the goals of client service.

• Provide client follow-up and engagement with client both pre and post meeting, as well as other needs and communications as they arise.


Qualification Requirements:


Education and Licensing:

• A bachelor’s degree with pursuit or ability to sit for CFP® exam within 2 years

• Series 65 or 66 license.

• 2-5 years of experience in a direct advisory capacity in financial services

• Desire to serve, grow and learn

• Consultative sales ability, with good “bedside manner” and listening skills

• Leadership experience a plus

• Experience working with various custodial platforms (Fidelity, Schwab, etc.) preferred.



Skills & Knowledge

• Development knowledge in financial planning and investment management

• Microsoft 360, Redtail, eMoney, Tamarac, and Riskalyze preferred

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, empathy and listening)

• Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and can deal with confidential information daily.

• Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services

• Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems.
