A Typical Day: As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you will benefit from an expert team's support dedicated to your success through comprehensive tax training. Enjoy the flexibility and additional earnings that empower you to embrace your unique lifestyle. Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients both in-person and through virtual channels (video, phone, chat, and email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns to ensure compliance. Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and offering additional products and services. Assist clients with IRS inquiries and support their needs. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet office objectives. Continuously expand your tax knowledge and expertise. What you'll bring to the team: Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is essential. Comfort with using virtual tools (video, phone, and chat). Strong communication skills both in person and in writing. Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. It would be a plus if you also had: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Previous experience in customer service or retail. Experience in supportive, high-paced work environments. Ability to commit to 25-35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
