Midwestern Petfoods is a family-owned business that has grown to 4 different locations. We are now looking for a Corporate Engineer to join our team. This position is located in Monmouth, IL, and will require some travel to our other locations.


Job Description:

•Provide technical and professional leadership in the areas of project management, engineering, and maintenance for all Midwestern Pet Foods’ facilities.

•Develop, plan and implement capital projects and facility improvements 

•Handle the introduction of new projects into all Company facilities

•Propose and control the cost of each project in accordance with the budget provided

•Continually look for and define projects that will continuously improve the facilities 

•Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects and expectations of projects, including contractors/equipment manufacturers/internal support.  

•For projects that are not delivering the desired results, significantly refocus effects to deliver the desired results 

•Incorporate personnel safety, food safety and regulatory requirements into all projects

•Perform post-installation audits, reconcile financial metrics, and share key learning for future project improvement 

•On an ongoing basis, initiate design changes and modifications to further improve machine efficiency, cost reductions and to expand the capability of existing equipment to efficiently produce new products 

•Assure that management and employees are trained on all new equipment and updated procedures

Requirements: 

•At least 1 year engineering experience or a 4 year college degree

•Experience with CAD
