**Job Summary**

Midwestern Pet Foods is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Engineer to lead our engineering efforts and drive business growth. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's business objectives, including the development of new products and processes.
  • Manage and coordinate the introduction of new projects, including the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including the identification of cost savings opportunities and the development of cost-benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure that projects are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in engineering and project management.
  • Experience with CAD and other engineering tools and software.
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments.
