Sounds of Success Preschool & Learning Center in Aiea is looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for our After School Speech Therapy Learning Center for children ages 2 to 18 yrs old.

Work hours are flexible Mon - Fri afternoons and evenings and/or weekends all day. SLPs are given the freedom to create their own schedule depending on how many clients they want to service and how many days they want to come in. Perfect for SLPs who have a full-time day job, but looking for extra income in the afternoons/evenings/weekends. Visit our website at www.sospreschool.org for more information about our preschool.

*Minimum Job Requirements:*
· Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy required

· Hawaii Professional license or Provisional license required.

· Must be willing to undergo a criminal history background check

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

· Maintains and documents productivity standards set by the Director.

· Performs speech-language evaluations and drafts findings reports.

· Develops a therapy plan outlining area of deficit, target activity, context, assistance needed, functional, realistic and measurable goal(s), and/or status ongoing goal(s).

· Recommends and provides treatment based upon medical, clinical, functional, and observational findings.

· Continually documents active & supportive education with the patient, parents, and others concerned, regarding progress, problems, home programs, & other issues related to the therapeutic process.

· Maintains ongoing continuing education to maintain professional licensure and clinical excellence.

· Prepares the family for discharge at the time of the evaluation based on maximum potential and/or when benefit of therapy are reached.

*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:*
· Experience working with young children highly preferred

· Ability to appropriately interact with patients, parents/guardians and other health care professionals in all work related situations.

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

· Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families and co-workers.

· Ability to problem solve to formulate a plan of care and evaluate the patient's response to care

· Ability to interpret, adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 6 per week
