Guidewire Implementation Business Analyst

Our industry-leading specialty insurance client is seeking a Guidewire Implementation BA.

Essential Functions:
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and business requirements
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and process steps.
- Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes, and integrations to internal and Guidewire suite applications, and makes recommendations related to proposed solution.
- Assists in development of QA testing scenarios and expected results relative to development specifications for use by IT developers.
- Assist with regression, unit, and system software testing per test plans.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data mapping documentation to ensure accurate and efficient data integration, transformation, and migration processes across various systems and platforms.
- Communicates issues and verifies issue resolution.
- Develops and communicates workarounds to business processes and system problems.
- Provides continuous progress and status reporting to project management.
- Works with business system ownership to ensure appropriate User Acceptance Testing is completed for all system changes prior to production use.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with 4+ years of P&C Domain experience.
- Hands on project experience Implementing Guidewire Policy Center working throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Hands on experience of working on projects implemented using Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies.
- Experience of interacting with Business stakeholders and IT stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into functional requirements that can be used by Development and Testing Teams
- Experience in writing User Stories and Acceptance criteria.
- Experience mapping data from source to target systems
- Experience working with business system ownership to ensure appropriate User Acceptance Testing is completed for all system changes prior to production use.
- Must possess good communication and analytical skills. Be able to communicate effectively with Business stakeholders.
- Problem solving and facilitation skills.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
