Job Title: Product Manager / Business Solutions Architect (Guidewire PolicyCenter)


Work Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid – Onsite) / Markham, Ontario, Canada / Remote


Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Architect to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Guidewire PolicyCenter and extensive experience in migrating legacy products to Guidewire Cloud.
  • As a Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the migration process, ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud environment.


Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter (Cloud) Configuration, Integration, Rating Engine, product model configuration and GOSU Script development
  • Extensive experience in Guidewire integration mechanisms, Data model, Rules, Configurations, Admin data management, Performance monitoring and tuning, Guidewire application configuration (clustering, database configurations)
  • ACE Guidewire Certification in Policy Center is required.
  • Experience in building G-units is required.
  • Strong experience in any JVM technologies or surrounding ecosystem (e.g. Java 8, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, any Application Server, any Enterprise Messaging System)
  • Experience in web technologies like Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Web Services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience in data modeling and RDBMS.
  • Experience with SQL / PL-SQL and usage of SQL Developer or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge in coding standards, review process, branching and merging strategies, DevOps, and Guidewire best practices.
  • Experience implementing at least one project in Guidewire Policy Center from concept to release.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business architecture and design of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies for migrating legacy products to Guidewire Cloud, including data migration, integration, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and processes, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Guidewire technology and cloud computing.
