Every member of our team is dedicated to giving our residents and families care that is supported by the highest order of compassion, integrity, accountability, and respect.Job SummaryThe Nursing Staff Scheduler maintains and coordinates the scheduling of the nursing staff, tracks licenses and ensures they are up to date, and provides support to the nursing department as requested. This is a dynamic role that requires attention to detail and creative thinking.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssures that the nursing staff schedule is complete and that adequate coverage is available on a daily basis.Checks units daily for adequate coverage.Completes the nursing department staff schedule for 24 hour coverage of nursing personnel (both licensed and non-licensed) according to State guidelines.Responsible for replacing staff who call out from work, in accordance with established policies and procedure.Coordinates time off requests with the Director of Nursing as necessary.Ensures that schedule changes, and scheduling of staff comply with the relevant union guidelines around seniority, etc.Licensed Nursing Assistants may be asked to assist in providing care to our residents when necessary.Required Skills & ExperienceMust have an Associates degree or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides knowledge, abilities and skills for the position. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge including Google Suite. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Ability to deal tactfully with coworkers, residents, family members, visitors, physicians and the general public.Preferred Skills & ExperienceExperience in long term care desired. Valid Maine Nursing Assistant Certification. Experience with scheduling software, such as Attendance on Demand.Expected Hours/ScheduleThis is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, salaried position with a schedule of 8 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.Applications Accepted Until FilledOffers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.Salary & BenefitsThis is a non union position, Grade C41 with a starting salary range of $69,349 - $75,792 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
