Join our dynamic Vascular Surgery team where you will play a pivotal role in patient care on our specialized units. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of patients throughout their care journey, particularly focusing on their progress toward discharge. Your responsibilities will encompass not only the delivery of care but also the coordination with a team of caregiving professionals, ensuring that every patient receives competent and compassionate care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. In this role, you will work with patients facing complex health challenges, including fresh amputations and extensive vascular surgeries to restore blood flow. Training will be provided in key areas such as BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, wound care, Wound-Vacs, and central lines. Key Responsibilities Include: Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and documenting treatments per policy and regulations. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' conditions. Assessing and responding to the needs of patients, applying sound nursing judgment in care management decisions. Providing primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses. Collaborating with the nursing team to establish comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guiding ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred. A commitment to continuous education and improvement in job performance. Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques relevant to patient care improvement.
