The Clinical Nurse II plays a pivotal role in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. We recognize that every employee's contributions are vital to our mission's success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, documenting all treatment in accordance with company policy and local/state/federal regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree required).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is essential.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques with the ability to apply these in quality improvement initiatives for patient care.
