As a key member of the healthcare team, the Clinical Nurse II plays a crucial role in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Your kindness and active listening skills will significantly impact the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document care as per regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and as per protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of nursing professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Must maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and the ability to apply problem-solving tools for patient care quality improvement.
