Position Overview: The General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for podium high-rise mixed-use building projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in managing complex construction projects, particularly those involving both residential and commercial components.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, foremen, and field staff.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Promote and enforce a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report financial performance to senior management.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing podium Highrise mixed-use projects.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards specific to podium Highrise mixed-use buildings.
