Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician / Tier I Help Desk to join our team in Frankfort, KY. The ideal candidate will have strong general computer skills, experience with enterprise-level IT support, asset management expertise, and familiarity with service desk support. The candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including troubleshooting, managing hardware requests, and providing user guidance.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide enterprise-level technical support and assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues.
  • Conduct light break/fix tasks to minimize user downtime.
  • Handle routine IT issues (login problems, password resets, basic navigation).
  • Assist staff and stakeholders in utilizing IT features.
  • Maintain equipment and software inventory records.
  • Collaborate on new technologies and solutions.
  • Manage hardware requests and stock levels.
  • Audit and reconcile tech assets.
  • Organize and audit data and assets.
  • Log and categorize support requests.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier II/III support.
  • Provide daily reports and manage consumables.
  • Deliver courteous and professional customer service.
  • Provide service desk support and manage incident resolution.


Qualifications:

  • Strong general computer skills.
  • Experience with enterprise IT support.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware/software.
  • Quick learner with software applications and databases.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Education and Experience:

  • Preferred: Previous experience in IT support, asset management, or related field.


Additional Requirements:

  • Major portion of time spent using a computer.
  • Availability for overtime as needed.
