Job Summary:

We are a fast-paced, creative luxury jewelry company looking for an Inventory Assistant to support our Production and Inventory operations. The successful Inventory Assistant will help to achieve maximum inventory control, maintain awareness of which styles are selling best at each location and online in order to optimize asset allocation, and assist with quarterly physical inventory counts. Prospective candidates with jewelry retail and/or inventory control experience are encouraged to apply.


As an Inventory Assistant, you will help manage our inventory list, coordinate and perform intra-studio transfers, and record Purchase Orders and Vendor Returns in our POS system. You will help the Inventory Coordinator to leverage the company’s combined inventory across all locations to achieve optimum stock levels and sell-through. 


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist the Production and Inventory Manager to achieve maximum inventory control, maintain awareness of which styles are selling best at each location and online in order to optimize asset allocation
  • Learn and leverage the Inventory Management System to optimize full asset management
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis to implement and improve inventory management
  • Help to monitor inventory levels and ensure delivered products meet expectations and standards
  • Conduct stringent Quality Control checks
  • Assist with interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations
  • Ensure inventory items are bagged and labeled properly
  • Organize and categorize incoming jewelry
  • Comprehensively check in new jewelry orders that arrive at our HQ
  • Inventory support - assist in preparing for quarterly inventory counts, help with the counting process itself, and assist Inventory Manager in reviewing the counts and coordinating recounts
  • Monitor all inventory related functions in the POS and web platforms to identify inaccuracies in data and processes
  • Reconcile any discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in managing Vendor Returns and Special Orders
  • Assist the Fulfillment team as needed
  • Take on special projects as needed


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 1+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
  • Tech-savvy, proven competence with Inventory Management Systems – experience with Shopify and Square a major plus
  • High level of proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and other data-focused platforms
  • Ability to analyze Inventory processes from both a micro and macro perspective
  • Highly organized, methodical and meticulous
  • Effectively able to multi-task and delegate
  • Can work well autonomously as well as within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with and love of jewelry and body adornment a major plus
