Safety Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the safety of all manufacturing equipment and processes within our facility
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to staff on safety practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment safety standards are met.
  • Participate in the development and review of equipment design to ensure safety considerations are integrated.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment safety and overall workplace safety culture.


Safety Specialist Requirements:


  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment safety regulations
  • Hold one of the following certifications: Functional Safety of Machinery Engineer (FS Eng), Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE) or Functional Safety Engineer for Machinery Sector ( FSeng) highly desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
