Financial Processing Associate

Position Details:

  • Start Date: 10/21
  • Location: Malvern, PA
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm during training and post training. Once daylight saving happens in November the schedule will shift to 9:00am-5:30pm
  • Schedule: Hybrid during training, remote after training
  • Assignment Length: 12 months with the possibility for conversion based on performance and business needs
  • Hourly Rate: $20/hour
  • Assessments Needed: 3-minute typing test (RFO) - 30 WPM, Written Instruction test (Talent Central) - 70% or above needed (can’t miss more than 4)


Training:

  • 100% attendance required during training.
  • Talent must be able to attend on-site for training.
  • Hybrid training model: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST.


Other Details:

  • Typical workweek is 37.50 hours.
  • Overtime offered periodically based on business needs.
  • Mandatory 40-hour workweek during peak tax season (December to April).
  • Role is remote after training, with the possibility of on-site work if performance management issues arise.


  • Processes client transaction requests and reviews transactions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all internal and external regulations. (Ex: checks, withdrawals, changes to accounts)
  • Partners with Vanguard Associates in working through complex processing issues to ensure timely completion.
  • Develops a working knowledge of Vanguard’s processing systems, group policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with Vanguard clients through outbound calls and written correspondence to clarify incomplete or invalid paperwork.
  • Understands and complies with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines, and Vanguard’s internal policies regarding client contact.
  • Maintains department standards for quality and productivity.
  • Works collaboratively with peers and management in a strong team environment.
  • Meets with Manager to discuss performance, business trends and issues impacting the Processing team.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or related experience

Business related education and/or experience

Strong client focus and ability to develop relationships with internal and external clients.

Comfortable working in high volume situations with time constraints.

Strong problem resolution and time management skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PCs.
