Accounting ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate reporting within our organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to manage accounting processes and support compliance with regulations. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic health and biotech industry.Responsibilities:Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Manage the general ledger and oversee the preparation of journal entries.Supervise account reconciliation tasks to guarantee accuracy and consistency.Coordinate and support financial statement audits, resolving any issues that arise.Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable.Utilize SAP to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team, fostering detail-oriented growth.Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and reporting.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation.Experience with SAP and other accounting software systems.Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor accounting staff.Familiarity with full-cycle accounting processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
