- Begin your staffing industry career by learning the foundations of sales through experience as a professional recruiter, responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and submitting candidates for specific positions.
- Match qualified candidates to open jobs.
- Manage the full recruiting life cycle with candidates, including introductory partnership with sales team.
- Gain a basic understanding of technical subject matter, vocabulary, and staffing industry concepts.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of various business sectors and verticals within your target market(s).
- Generate business intelligence and sales leads for future opportunities.
- Develop knowledge and practical experience within staffing industry financial concepts such as gross profit, commissions, labor costs, negotiation, and contracts management.
- Adhere to a metrics-driven approach to front-end staffing industry activities.
- Evolve into sales enablement, directly supporting and learning from established sales professionals.
- Identify, research, support, and deepen client relationships within the staffing industry through networking, market research, sales software utilization, leads/referrals and other methods.
- Utilize industry-leading tools to identify trends within current and target accounts for the company.
- Assist in the administration and coordination of existing business, including open job requisition coordination, candidate submittal/interview scheduling, client software management, etc.
- Assist in the development of new business and client relationships, including reference checking, sales lead generation and follow-up, prospecting, Requests for Proposal responses, etc.
- Contribute towards revenue generation by performing direct support and "inside sales" functions (i.e. appointment setting, client research, administrative execution, etc.) for more senior professionals, allowing senior team members to focus more time on purely business development activities.
- Serve as an internal liaison to recruiting, corporate services, and financial teams through ensuring timely communication regarding all aspects of business execution.
- Perform consistent data analysis, data hygiene, and organization of business development content such as client records, contact and org chart management, internal record keeping, etc.
- Provide ongoing, as needed sales support to leaders and senior team members on a task/project basis.
- Achieve activity and results-based goals within both metrics-driven and outcome-based settings.
- Grow into an established member of the sales team, building out your own "book of business"
- Establish and build upon B2B client relationships across staffing and consulting practices.
- Develop expertise in the range of customized solutions that the organization can offer to clients, and learn the art of pitching the right solution, to the right audience, at the right time.
- Focus on volume and quality of front-end sales driven metrics, especially client meetings and sign-ups.
- Generate Master Services Agreements with clients in support of current and future staffing and consulting business opportunities for the clients.
- Capture business opportunities for client company standards, including contract and permanent job orders, professional and project services opportunities and comprehensive solutions for clients.
- Negotiate terms of staffing and solutions business with clients.
- Continue training and learning from more senior sales professionals.
- Meet or exceed activity, profitability, financial, and career growth goals as set by your manager.
- Expand on strong knowledge of the respective staffing and professional services markets.
- Develop strong internal relationships with your recruiting partners to qualify job requirements and deliver consultants and candidates to staffing/solutions clients.
- Stay up to date on trends within the industries and technology sectors that you support.
Qualifications:
- Specific interest in sales and new business development within professional services and staffing.
- Ability to work onsite on a full-time and/or hybrid basis at a local regional office; fully remote candidates who wouldn't eventually (re)locate to one of these centralized markets will not be considered.
- 6 months-3 years working in a corporate setting via professional experience, internships and/or prior employment is preferred.
- Specific interest in a "Base Salary Plus" compensation model, where commission and performance bonuses make up a significant component of your income.
- Flexibility to learn a variety of software platforms quickly and efficiently in support of professional activities.
- Academic, internship and/or professional sales/business development experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred. Business, Psychology, Marketing, Communication majors preferred, but any fields will be considered. Relevant life/personal experience and temperament, in lieu of a completed degree will also be considered.
- Academic or professional exposure to recruiting elements of corporate HR is a plus.
- Ability to proactively promote organization to support our customer base.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to be comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Must be a goal-oriented team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
