Do you have experience as a Purchasing Agent in the Construction Industry?

Duties:

  • Resolve vendor disputes, including product, pricing, invoice, and contract discrepancies
  • Maintain relationships with trade partners to meet bidding and production needs
  • Collaborate with departments like land development, construction, marketing, finance, and design to meet goals and deadlines
  • Communicate product changes to Sales, Construction, and Subcontractors
  • Initiate and analyze subcontractor bids, compile contract confirmations, and ensure audit compliance
  • Assist in base cost and option price analysis
  • Review house budgets for accurate base house and margin costs
  • Support end-of-month cost-off process for current month closings


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as a Purchasing Agent in the construction industry, preferably homebuilding
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; JD Edwards & Build Pro experience a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Excellent negotiation skills
