Role Description

This is a full-time on-site (non-remote) role for a Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for checking patients in, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and other receptionist duties. They will also be responsible for communicating with patients and using basic medical terminology in their daily work. Prior healthcare and/or dermatology/plastic surgery experience preferred but not required.


Pre-PA/Nursing/Medical School applicants: opportunity for advancement to medical assistant exists after 6 months in this role.


Qualifications

  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Experience in appointment scheduling and receptionist duties
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
  • Prior experience in a medical office or customer service role is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field is a plus but not required
